Is to support our community built on diversity, acceptance, collaboration and respect for all people by addressing the causes of poverty within our community.

To provide nutritionally balanced emergency food-aid for people in crisis, identified and referred.
(exceptions can apply, referrals to be negotiated on an individual basis).

We also signpost customers to other agencies appropriate to their needs, such as: Citizens Advice Bureau, housing departments, adult and communities services, Age Concern & other relevant community projects.
The local agency can also provide long term support if needed to help address some of the issues behind the reasons for your crisis.

Criteria for receiving an emergency food parcel is targeted at low income families
We will run through the food parcel packing list with you to check any special dietary requirements that you may have; including all food Allergies.
You can download a form online, complete and send it to Steps 8. If you fit the criteria you will be entitled to a free food parcel within 24 hours.

Food parcels can be collected from Spurgeons Children’s Centre Via Mount Pleasant Avenue
B21 9PW every Monday at 6:15pm. Parcels are on a first come first served basis.
A small donation of £5 is requested to ensure the service meets the needs of the community.
All food items are quality checked before being given out. Once a food parcel has been given out, Steps 8 CIC and its employees are not responsible on how the supplied food is stored.
